ABOUT US
Discipleship
We believe Gospel Communities (GCs) are the primary organizing structures of the church and the most effective means for developing gospel centered disciples. These communities are smaller (10-20 people) groups within Radiant Church who sees themselves as a family of missionaries sent by God to serve, proclaim, and demonstrate the gospel to our unbelieving world.
Each group gathers together weekly to live in our gospel rhythms. Within our GCs, we care for, encourage, and lovingly challenge one another by praying sharing a meal, and pointing each other to Christ. GCs are the means through which Radiant connects people to community, and mobilizes people together on mission.
Our Story
Radiant Church started as Missio Dei in 2010, and became Radiant Anchorage in 2014. The first Radiant was planted in Fairbanks in the early 2000s, and his since planted and partnered with several churches. By God’s grace, a generous gift was given to us, a church building. While we have been immensely blessed by our Father, we are not a church about a building, and have been immensely blessed by our Father, and deeply desire to plant more churches throughout the north as part of Plant Alaska.
What to Expect
Sunday mornings at Radiant are meant to collectively worship our Father through singing, serving, tithing, and fellowshipping with other believers. We are a church that emphasizes discipleship through Godly relationships, and strive for everyone to connect and feel part of the family instantly. You can expect some exegetical preaching in its context combined with biblical and systematic theology. Kids church starts when our service begins, but are brought upstairs for a time of worship with families at the end. Dress attire is casual, worship music is modern along with recomposed hymns, and coffee/refreshments are served downstairs before service.
